INTERVIEW MIT BRANDON SPEARMAN
NICOLE: Brandon, if I am correctly informed, you have played basketball in Hawaii before you come to Wedel. One part of the earth that is on my bucket list, which I would like to have traveled in my life. How was it there for you? Was there an important experience for you?
BRANDON: Hawaii was absolutely wonderful I feel as if every one should vist the beautiful island of Hawaii. Playing college basketball and being a student in Hawaii have help to become a man. I've learned a lot Hawaii a lot of memories I will never forget...
NICOLE: You're the new player in the team of the SV Rist. Have you ever got there well? Was it easy for you or there are challenges?
BRANDON: Being a player here at SC Rist has been very fun. Being that this is my first year being a pro I'm starting to adjust living here in Europe and becoming a pro.
NICOLE: In general, what would you rather say - Are there problems in life or challenges that you stand? Or else, you're more of a pessimist or an optimist?
BRANDON: I've been dealing with problems all my life on and off the court but I always been optimist about situations. I've always continue to push and hope for the best even in bad times. I always have faith.
NICOLE: I support your team even now a few weeks as a yoga teacher. Did you ever previously done yoga experience?
BRANDON: I love yoga! Yes I have done yoga in the past but I never have done yoga like this before some of the positions that were doing is amazing. Since having you as our yoga teacher my body has been great! Thank you!
NICOLE: Do you think yoga exercises give a benefit to you, as an athlete to improve your performance on the basketball court?
BRANDON: Yoga has definitely help me on the court and off. I'm becoming more flexible and breathing much more deeper when I'm winded on the court. The breathing is one of the big benefits I improved of that.
NICOLE: Up to now, but everything is really great. The team won the last games, but how do you deal with defeats? If things are not going so well - on the court or in life. What motivates you?
BRANDON: I've been through the ups and the downs in this game, we all have. Right now we playing great basketball and we just have to keep it up. Not wanting to lose is my motivation. I don't take losing well also every time I step on the floor I playing for my family and I don't want to let them down.
NICOLE: Brandon, I thank you for this interview and I wish you much success in basketball and of course away from the court.
Am Wochenende liegt das Spiel aller Spiele an: am 02. Mai 2015 findet in der Steinberghalle in Wedel um 19.00 Uhr das Finalspiel statt. Auch wenn die Mannschaft das erste Hinspiel in Oldenburg nicht für sich entscheiden konnte, so könnte ein Sieg mit mehr als drei Punkten den Titel sichern. Wir drücken dem Team also die Daumen, die eine grandiose Saison gespielt haben mit oder ohne Sieg. Alle können wohl mächtig stolz auf sich sein! GO RISTERS!!!
